Hi guys, this is just to remind / inform you that there are two big matches this weekend at Lockwood Park

On saturday the Huddersfield 1st XI face off against City of York 2nd XI at 13.30 in a top of the table clash.

With both Sheffield teams in the Yorkshire Premier Division looking like they would be excluded from promotion due to already having two teams in higher divisions, the only teams with a realistic chance of knocking the purple wonders out of the promotion spot are York or Lincoln 1st XI.

If Hudds win then they could move 10 points clear at the top with a game in hand, but a tricky run in with both fixtures against Lincoln due and potential bogey team Brigg.

On Sunday the Huddersfield 2nd XI face off against Gainsbourough Roses 2nd XI at 13.00 in a must win game.

The 2nd XI are also fighting for promotion in a keenly contested 3rd Division where there are four teams right in the hunt (Wakefield, Lincoln, Acomb and Huddersfield) with Airedale circling the edges waiting to pounce if someone slips up!

The season could go down to goal difference and with Cap’n Oli back they’re screwed in line for a goal fest!
