Huddersfield 2XI 2 - 0 Leeds
Huddersfield had a lot to prove to themselves after a disappointing outing at Doncaster last weekend. As the sun was rising above the iconic mast in Emley Huddersfield were setting out on a quest of their own, to gain points and respect from there neighbours in Leeds. Huddersfield Dominated from the start and went ahead after a great team move which ended in Clark drawing a penalty corner. A net busting drag flick from Presto (well a drag flick at least) left the keeper looking for salvation as the ball went through his hands. Huddersfield did not ease off but instead strung attack after attack together leaving Leeds tired and depleted. Just before the break Presto hit his and Huddersfield’s 2nd with a low reverse shot. The Second half saw much of the same in terms of dominating possession with the likes of ‘coach’ Kaye being instrumental, drawing on the knowledge once passed on to him by his next door neighbour 46664, but with no further goals were scored(despite it being handed on a plate to the likes of Olly, Steve and Ed). A great defensive performance saw the score line remain the same and Huddersfield take all three points. This solid show should appease most players and with every other team in the club conceding this week 2XI can be very pleased with their clean sheet. With a few people unavailable next week 2XI may have to call on the services of unbeaten 3’s to help them build a run of their own.
